Let's Talk Without Masks. Relaxing and Inviting Atmosphere for emerging Social Workers on their journey to LCSW licensure.
I was a late bloomer—I didn't begin college until age 32. While working in the restaurant industry and raising my son as a single parent, I fought my way through every semester, ultimately earning a 4.0 GPA. A lot of my pre-college lifestyle choices were exhausting and unhealthy, but it gave me a perspective that I now consider life lessons I needed to fulfill my Purpose as a therapist. Now I want to use all of these experiences and education to strengthen new Social Workers with resilience, knowledge, and empowerment.
I welcome your authentic Self into my Supervision group, as real people with real problems, with real solutions, with real experiences of their own. Be your Self! We learn best when we do not have to focus on our mask.
"I'm Trying to Build an Army of Social Worker Warriors!"
"You do not need to have all the answers to be a strong clinician. You need support, reflection, and a willingness to keep growing."
Since 2016, I have practiced Social Work in diverse settings. My clinical background encompasses trauma-informed care, crisis interventions, case management, and Psychotherapy across in-patient psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, non-profit organizations, private practice, and public schools.
I have worked with multiple populations such as Severe Mental Illnesses, life transitions, the LGBTQIA+ community, personality disorders, parent/child relationships, children/teen psychoeducation, neurodivergent social/emotional regulation and life skills, sex & intimacy couple's therapy, domestic violence, victims of crimes, and trafficking.
All of these experiences have cultivated a compassionate and non-judgmental approach with clients and supervisees alike, along with a culturally competent perspective that recognizes everyone has a story worth honoring.
